Fuelled by a shared belief in the potential of South African youth, this partnership marks more than a logistical alliance, it’s a heartfelt investment in the future of children. As the Real Madrid Foundation launches its first Gauteng-based Educational Football Programme at Generation Schools Taroko in Modderfontein, GAC Motor stands proudly alongside, committed to driving access, hope and impact, the manufacturer says.
“This is not just a sponsorship; we believe mobility should not only move people, but also empower futures,” says Bianca Naudé, Public Relations Manager at GAC Motor South Africa. “Partnering with the Real Madrid Foundation is a meaningful way for us to contribute to a larger purpose, changing lives through access to sport, education and opportunity.”
The programme, a collaboration between Generation Schools and the Real Madrid Foundation, goes beyond football. It blends high-level athletic coaching with mentorship, values-based education and emotional development. Already operating in Cape Town, with more than 90 young participants, the programme has now welcomed 50 new learners in Johannesburg and aims to impact over 300 children by the end of 2025.
As mobility partner, GAC Motor ensures that coaches, mentors and young athletes can connect across campuses, events and communities, removing barriers and unlocking access where it’s needed most.
“In a country where talent all too often goes unnoticed owing to a lack of opportunity, this partnership brings something deeper: dignity, belief and possibility,” says Jevron Epstein, CEO of Generation Schools and President of the Real Madrid Foundation South Africa. “Together, we’re not only developing athletes – we are building young leaders with purpose.”
GAC Motor’s ongoing campaign, #CraftYourPath, aligns seamlessly with the goals of this partnership; highlighting the importance of creating opportunities and supporting young people as they take meaningful steps toward their future.
