Digi Cars Group, a dealership group in the South African automotive industry, is making an impact at this year’s EidFest, which is taking place at the Gallagher Convention Centre from Thursday, 20 February to Sunday, 23 February 2025.
With an expected 40 000 attendees, this premier event presents the perfect platform for Digi Cars Group to display a selection of vehicles from their Chery Omoda and Jaecoo dealerships.
These vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in the South African vehicle market, and the Digi Cars team will be in full force at the event. The group will also be featuring their Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max with B4 discreet armour by Armoured Mobility.
Armoured Mobility, under the Digi Cars Group umbrella, specialises in building and retailing bullet-proof vehicles. The Armoured Chery provides protection against everyday threats and is ideal for protection against hijackings and robberies. It is designed to withstand handgun fire, the most common weapon used in violent crimes. With only around 120kg of added weight, affordable and financeable, it’s a game changer for South Africans looking for that added protection.
The group, which includes Chery Sandton, Chery Northcliff, Omoda Sandton, Omoda/Jaecoo Melrose Arch, Digi Cars, Olgars Auto, and Armoured Mobility, has built a solid reputation for combining luxury and security.
“At the Digi Cars Group, our mission is to revolutionise the car-buying experience through technology and customer-focused solutions,” says Azhar Abed, Group Franchise Director. “We are proud to showcase vehicles that reflect our dedication to innovation, including the armoured Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max, which highlights our ability to cater to both lifestyle and security-conscious buyers.”
In addition to a line-up of vehicles, the Digi Cars Digital Kiosk will be available at the EidFest, allowing attendees to explore the full range of vehicles digitally. This immersive, interactive experience will provide visitors with in-depth vehicle specifications, financing options and real-time inquiries, ensuring a seamless connection between customers and their next vehicle.
Despite potential headwinds, South Africa’s automotive industry remains committed to long-term growth and resilience.
South African consumers demonstrated a strong appetite for new passenger vehicles in March, according to figures released by the Automotive Business Council (naamsa).
Just a few days after its official introduction to the South African market, the TopGear SA team, in a convoy of Nissan Navara Warriors, has embarked on a record-breaking expedition into South Africa’s most extreme hinterland.
