
Ford technicians show off their skills
Skills development and technical excellence are critical to the sustainability of South Africa’s automotive industry, says Ford.

naamsa, the automotive industry business council, is hosting its third national round table for the industry in Gqeberha on 25 August at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
This round table will focus on the pressing issues of energy security and a just transition, and it brings together specialists on the topics from across the country and across various fields.
The round table is made possible by Absa, which is the enabling sponsor.
Speaking at the event will be Faisal Mkhize, a well-known executive to automotive dealers and the Chief Executive of Absa Group’s Relationship Banking division.
In the round table discussion on Unlocking a Sustainable Energy Supply Economy, Ruben Govender will address the delegates. Ruben is the Head of Sustainability Strategy at Absa Group.
Charl Potgieter, the Managing Executive for Absa Vehicle and Asset Finance will, in turn, discuss the challenges around the decarbonisation of road transport and clean fuels.
