A decade of innovation: Automechanika gears up for showcase
Automechanika Johannesburg marks its 10th anniversary with an expanded and dynamic line-up set to inspire and connect the automotive and transport sectors.

Taking place from 28 to 30 October at the Gallagher Convention Centre, the 2025 edition promises a powerhouse programme of exhibitions, conferences and industry awards celebrating excellence, innovation and collaboration.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt South Africa, this landmark event brings together key players from across the value chain, including workshops, suppliers, fleet operators, OEMs and policymakers. Visitors can expect a comprehensive showcase covering Parts and Components, Accessories and Customising, Management and Digital Solutions, Repair and Maintenance, Car Wash and Reconditioning, and Electronics and Systems.
Among the headline events is the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Conference, held in collaboration with CILT South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Centred on the theme “An Exploration of the Latest Developments in New Energy Vehicles”, it will explore how technology, sustainability and skills development are shaping the future of mobility across the region.
The Crash Repairers Association (CRA) Conference will unite collision repair professionals, OEMs and insurers to discuss standards, sustainability and innovation. Delegates can engage directly with suppliers to experience cutting-edge repair technology. Meanwhile, the free-to-attend Right to Repair SA Talk will focus on “Access to Technical Information”, highlighting why data transparency is critical to fair competition and customer service.
The MIWA Spanner Torque Pavilion and RMI’s live wrapping competition will bring practical excitement to the exhibition floor, while the Alexandra Automotive Industrial Hub Showcase and accompanying panel discussion, themed “Unlocking Opportunities: Empowering Township SMMEs in the Automotive Value Chain”, will highlight transformation and local economic growth.
The prestigious MasterDrive Fleet Safety Awards will once again recognise leadership in road safety, technology adoption and sustainability, offering R250 000 in prizes across categories such as Best Fleet Manager and Sustainability Leader.
