Kyalami Circuit to Host 10km Running Event

The Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg will take on a different role on 31 October 2026 when it hosts the Versus Grand Prix 10K Run. Mazda Southern Africa has partnered with Versus Socks for the event, which will see runners complete two laps of the well-known motorsport venue.
The 10km route is expected to attract a range of participants, from first-time runners to experienced athletes and social running groups. Instead of race cars, competitors will navigate Kyalami’s wide stretches of tarmac and sweeping corners on foot, offering a different perspective of one of South Africa’s most recognisable circuits.
According to Mazda Southern Africa, the partnership reflects a shared interest in movement and active lifestyles. The company said the event provides an opportunity to connect with people outside the traditional motoring environment.
“The partnership with Versus Socks allows us to bring that belief to life beyond the driver’s seat,” said Deolinda Da Costa, Head of Marketing at Mazda Southern Africa.
The race starts at 08:30 and participants will have access to two water points, activation areas and cheer zones along the route. Once the run has concluded, runners will move into the Kyalami pit garages, where food stalls, music, a bar and a post-race gathering are planned.
Each race entry includes a complimentary pair of Versus Socks. Additional race-pack information is expected to be announced closer to the event.
