RZ electrical vehicle from Lexus makes local debut

Volvo took a firm step to make the prospect of owning an electric vehicle more attractive with a limited offer on its EVs.
Volvo Car South Africa announced an exciting new limited-time offer that afford local buyers of Volvo electric vehicles (EVs) three complimentary benefits, further reinforcing the brand’s steadfast commitment to delivering value.
Customers qualify for the promotion – which is limited to the last quarter of 2024 – by purchasing any new fully electric Volvo model from a Volvo dealership during the final three months of the year. These buyers are then awarded with the following benefits:

This new offer is the latest illustration of our commitment to our customers, which will provide the most value to their EV ownership experience,” said Markus Cromwell, Commercial Director at Volvo Car South Africa.
Volvo Car SA’s range of EVs currently includes the new EX30, the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge. The EX30 has already proven exceptionally popular with local buyers. In fact, it is South Africa’s best-selling EV, year to date (at the end of August 2024).
Available in multiple configurations – allowing customers to select powertrain options, battery types and trim levels – the EX30 reinforces Volvo Car SA’s already formidable presence in the local new-energy vehicle space. The equally popular XC40 Recharge is offered in both Single Motor Plus and Twin Motor Ultimate form, while the sleeky-styled C40 Recharge ships standard in Twin Motor Ultimate guise.
Furthermore, the highly anticipated fully electric EX90 flagship is expected to launch locally in early 2025, with the first customer vehicles scheduled to arrive towards the end of the second quarter of next year.
The new EX90 is due to slot in at the top of Volvo Car SA’s exclusively electrified line-up, which comprises mild hybrids, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and full EVs.
