“As part of our promise to provide our customers with the best possible support, it is important that our dedicated dealer teams deliver services and solutions that are of the highest quality, day in and day out,” says Waldemar Christensen, MD of Volvo Trucks South Africa. “In a year where fleet operators faced extreme challenges, from load-shedding to fuel price increases, their uptime and efficiency were, as always, our top priority.”

Volvo Trucks currently has 19 dealers in South Africa and representation in Botswana, Eswatini, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

“With the Volvo Trucks’ vehicle parc continuing to increase, we are strengthening our reach with a focused strategy of offering valuable support to our customers throughout the lifetime of their trucks,” explains Waldemar.

The Volvo Trucks and Buses Johannesburg team was ecstatic after it won and attributed it to the dedication of every employee at the dealership, from administrative staff to technicians, sales executives, parts and service specialists, and apprentices.

“When we service a customer’s truck, we want the customer to know that it’s done right. No shortcuts. No surprises. And we aim to apply this level of quality in every aspect of our business and in all our interactions with our customers,” says Haneef Laher, Regional Manager of Volvo Trucks and Buses Johannesburg.

Volvo Trucks currently has 19 dealerships in the country.

With a range of new extra-heavy electric trucks also now being launched in South Africa, Volvo Trucks continuously invests in training staff.

“Through skilled technicians, genuine parts and specialised tools, Volvo Trucks’ dealers are committed to keeping our customers’ trucks in peak condition and on the road as much as possible,” says Waldemar.

“We believe that the quality of our dealerships and the level of sustainable support they provide along the major trade corridors in the region, add significant value to our customers’ operations,” he concludes.
