The dealership, which was bought from another motor group, was completely revamped according to the latest CI specifications (Corporate Identity) from the different manufacturers represented. A third brand, Kia, was recently added to the Renault Melrose Multi-franchise, which previously consisted of only Renault and Mitsubishi.
“We are extremely excited about the all the changes, the new look and a renewed focus on creating pride and loyalty for our brands and customers by delivering an enjoyable premium valued customer experience,” says the newly appointed Dealer Principal, Norman Kelly, who will oversee all three brands at Renault Melrose Multi-franchise.
“For the first time, the facility will now also host a used car showroom floor, and with our new brands, the showroom is divided with space for up to ten vehicles for Renault and the same for Kia while Mitsubishi has a smaller showroom split on two levels exhibiting the marque’s vehicle model range.
“We have welcoming customer lounges for our brands as well at the service-active reception shared by the brands. Everything is new inside out, and the new two-tone colouring finishing inside the showroom really gives a premium look and feel to the dealership,” Norman tells Dealerfloor.
Norman says the new Kia franchise is a completely new addition to the Renault Melrose Multi-franchise allowing sales, servicing and parts for Kia for the first time in this area.
“With Renault, Mitsubishi and now also Kia all on one premises, we offer all new-car buyers a wide choice across the spectrum. Customers can choose from the most affordable entry-level models, leisure bakkies and commercial vehicles right up to large SUVs and multi-purpose vehicles crossing the R1 million price barrier.
“The used cars, known as “Renew Used Cars” built by the Renault division, which we have opened also gives us flexibility regarding trade-ins and offering a larger variety at competitive prices. With areas like Melrose, Sandton, Rosebank, as well as outlying areas, our customer base is also diverse, which explains the variety of vehicles we do sell,” Norman tells us.
Norman, who has a 30-year plus career in the automotive retail space, predominately with the CMH Group starting off as a salesman and working his way up to the Dealer Principal position overseeing multi-franchise dealerships.
He recently returned to South Arica from Botswana where he assisted with the establishment of a dealership, before joining the Motus family in October last year.
“I believe strongly in what I call the “Pride Factor” – Passion, Respect, Integrity, Drive and Enthusiasm. This is what I believe makes the difference when offering a premium customer service experience, which has rewarded me with numerous awards over many years.
“We will provide a professional sales & service team at the Renault Melrose Multi-franchise, and we look forward to welcoming new clients to join our Renault Melrose Multi-franchise family,” Norman concludes.
