Cape Town customers can look forward to expanding their brand insights into the Stellantis stable with the addition of the Peugeot and Citroën brands onto the showroom floor at William Simpson’s Tokai dealership.
The existing facility has already been servicing the needs of Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and prospective owners since 2016.
William Simpson began his used car dealership in 1991. As his success in the industry grew, Simpson purchased a franchise outlet in Fish Hoek in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town before moving his franchise to Tokai.
The by now well-established dealer group took on a Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge franchise in Newlands in 2016, dedicated to ensuring an even better customer experience than they had received previously. This business approach led the growing dealership to relocate to the group’s already well-established facilities in Tokai after two successful years.
Now the pursuit of consistently offering greater value to its new and existing customers is expanding even more with the addition of Peugeot and Citroën brands from June 2021.
“We’re excited to be even more convenient to Western Cape customers in the Cape Town area as we welcome William Simpson to the Peugeot and Citroën brands,” said Leslie Ramsoomar, Managing Director Stellantis South Africa. “This is yet another step forward for our customers and part of our broader plans to grow our representation across the country.”
The expanded facility caters for all Peugeot and Citroën customers’ needs, including comfortable waiting areas with complimentary Wi-Fi and refreshments. William Simpson is located at 125 Main Road, Tokai.
In the face of a shifting premium automotive market, Audi South Africa is also currently re-aligning its retail operations according to the new reality where the premium vehicle sector has contracted to nearly a third of its size compared to a decade ago, with 2024 marking the lowest level yet.
The commercial vehicle industry has seen a complete shift in the market over the past year. Despite challenging market conditions, Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA), along with its dealers and general distributors, successfully navigated the landscape to deliver great results, it says.
