Volvo Car South Africa (VCSA) is strengthening its presence in Pretoria with the opening of CMH Volvo Cars Menlyn, a new flagship dealership consolidating the Hatfield and Silverlake’s locations into one premium, full-service site.
The new Menlyn facility reflects Volvo’s global retail vision, offering a modern space designed to enhance customers’ experience across sales and service.
The move forms part of Volvo’s national growth strategy, which includes a new dealership in Gqeberha and Mbombela as well as the introduction of four new models this year – the EX30 Cross Country, the updated XC60 and XC90, and the all-new ES90.
CMH Volvo Cars Menlyn, situated at the corner of January Masilela Drive and Garsfontein Road, will offer easy access from key areas across Pretoria. CMH remains one of Volvo’s most trusted retail partners in South Africa. The relocation enables the group to consolidate its complete offering under one roof, from vehicle selection to servicing and support.
The New Menlyn location boasts a serene, modern interior and a welcoming ambience that puts people at ease. The brand’s signature human-centric design philosophy is evident throughout the space, from the layout of the showroom to the way customers interact with sales and service teams.
“Menlyn is an exciting next step for Volvo in Pretoria. It brings the brand into a contemporary space that reflects the direction we’re heading, both in design and in service philosophy,” says Grant Locke, Managing Director of Volvo Cars South Africa. “As our customer base continues to evolve, so too must the spaces we welcome them into.”
Grant, who stepped into the role earlier this year, brings fresh momentum to Volvo’s local operations. Over the coming months, the Swedish marque is preparing for one of its most exciting product seasons yet, with four new models on the horizon, including the EX30 Cross Country, facelifted versions of the XC60 and XC90, and the luxurious ES90, all of which join the brand’s growing electrified line-up.
The Pretoria relocation comes at a time of national growth for the brand. Volvo Cars South Africa is also expanding into the Eastern Cape with a new full-service dealership in Gqeberha, set to open on 1 October 2025 at Moffett Retail Park.
Operated by Tom Campher Motors, the Gqeberha facility will provide comprehensive sales and aftersales support to customers in the region, including a vehicle carrier to streamline logistics across the region.
To be named the overall Hyundai Dealer of the Year is not something that simply happens. It is the result of hard work, dedication, looking after your staff and customers, and maintaining a clear focus on your goal. That goal is to be the best.
GWM South Africa hosted its annual Dealer Conference and Dealer of the Year Awards, bringing together its national dealer network of over 100 dealerships to review performance, align on strategic priorities, and recognise outstanding achievement across the business.
