Cars.co.za recently launched Industry Report 2026 at its DealerCon summit, offers insight into the forces shaping South Africa’s vehicle market.

The Isuzu Dealer of the Year awards were held recently, and recognition was given in different categories. Dealerships throughout the rest of the continent were also honoured at the event.
A distinction was also made in some categories between Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) that include Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) on the one side and Commercial Vehicles (CVs) on the other.
The award for the Top Volume Dealer (CV) was handed to Danie Opperman (main photo, top) of ITC Midrand, while Gary Klette (main photo, bottom) of Williams Hunt Midrand took the honours for Top Volume Dealer (LCV).
Long Service Awards were handed to the following dealerships:
5 Years – Boland Isuzu and Westvaal Menlyn.
10 Years – Auas Motors Otjiwarongo, Isuzu Woodmead, NTT Isuzu Newcastle and Westvaal Brits.
15 Years - Westvaal Mashishing and Williams Hunt Humansdorp.
20 Years – Gemini Isuzu.
25 Years - Westvaal Welkom.
30 Years - NSB Motors.
40 Years – Sydney Hunt Motors.
Some familiar names popped up again as dealerships defended previous winnings in a fierce competition over the last couple of years:

Isuzu Isando, Reeds N1 City and Key Pinetown.
Dealer of the Year – Light Commercial Vehicles – Qualifiers - Large Category:
Key Pietermaritzburg, Westvaal Klerksdorp and Meyers East London.
Dealer of the Year – Light Commercial Vehicles - Qualifiers – Medium Category:
Jacksons Queenstown , Westvaal Potchefstroom and NTT Isuzu Newcastle.
Dealer of the Year – Light Commercial Vehicles - Qualifiers – Small Category:
Hampsons, NTT Isuzu Ladysmith and Hi-Way Motors Dundee.
Dealer of the Year – Commercial Vehicles - Qualifiers – Large Category:
Isuzu World Kempton Park, Key Pinetown Truck Centre and ITC Midrand.
Dealer of the Year – Commercial Vehicles – Qualifiers - Medium Category:
Meyers East London, Bates Motors Shelley Beach and Key Durban Truck Centre.
