Hyundai Pinetown was named the best-performing Hyundai dealership in the world, out of more than 5 000 international dealerships. The KZN-based dealership distinguished itself through forward-thinking retail strategies and an aggressive, yet service-focused sales model.
These efforts culminated in sales exceeding 250 vehicles monthly and servicing over 12 000 vehicles annually. This resulted in a commanding 33.7% market share in its regional territory, a benchmark achievement within the Global Hyundai Motor Group’s network.
José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, congratulated Hyundai Pinetown. “On behalf of Hyundai Motor Company, I express my heartfelt congratulations to you for being named as one of the Global Top 100 Dealers of the Year.

Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa, also congratulated the team. “Hyundai Pinetown exemplifies what is possible when leadership, innovation and passion for customers come together. This recognition is not just about numbers. It is about setting a new benchmark in how we serve our customers in South Africa. We congratulate the entire Hyundai Pinetown team on its incredible global recognition.”
This award marks the first time a South African dealership has earned this level of global recognition. The Hyundai Pinetown team has shown that with consistency and a customer-first approach, even a dealership in a modest industrial town can set global benchmarks.
Dealer Principal, Sidney Francis, who took the reins in 2022, credits the award to his team’s relentless commitment to adaptability and excellence. “We knew early on that to succeed in this competitive environment, we needed to be more than a dealership. We had to become a trusted mobility partner. This recognition reflects the dedication of every member of our team and the trust our customers have placed in us.”
