In collaboration with Metro FM, the largest commercial radio station in South Africa, presenters broadcast seamlessly and without interruption from inside the all-new Hyundai Sante Fe. The groundbreaking broadcast delivered a flawless, high-quality live transmission while on the move, marking a historic first for the station and the dealership.
The broadcast marks another achievement for the Pinetown-based dealership, which has built a reputation for innovation and record-breaking performance. Hyundai Pinetown holds a record for selling 300 vehicles in a single month and remains the only dealership within Hyundai Automotive South Africa, to receive the Global Top 100 Dealers of the Year Award.
Dealer Principal Sidney Francis says this initiative reflects a commitment to pushing boundaries within the automotive retail space. “Today we witnessed innovation in motion.”
“Hyundai is a brand that is constantly looking for new ways to demonstrate what modern mobility can achieve, and today’s broadcast shows how seamlessly technology and driving experiences, can integrate in real time,” Sidney states.
Kina Nhlengethwa, Business Manager at Metro FM said this innovative experience was designed to highlight and amplify the Metro FM and Hyundai Automotive South Africa partnership.
“We authentically showcased the experience of being driven in a quality, reliable and stylish Hyundai vehicle. The journey itself formed part of the Metro FM storytelling and listener engagement, culminating in the broadcast being stationed at Hyundai Pinetown.”
Zweli Mnisi, Group Head of Corporate Communications at Hyundai Automotive South Africa added that this milestone reflected on the company’s commitment to innovation that is both meaningful and experiential.
