GWM South Africa hosted its Dealer Conference and Awards, an annual event that not only celebrated the company’s top-performing dealerships but also heralded the arrival of three new vehicles.

GWM Bruma took the top spot as the overall Dealer of the Year for 2024 at the event and also won the category for large dealerships while the Hatfield Motor Group walked away with the Group Winner award.
More than 300 dealers, partners and stakeholders gathered to witness the latest chapter in GWM’s 18-year journey in South Africa.
Top-performing dealerships were recognised for their outstanding contributions in categories such as sales, service, after-sales, vehicle accessories and financing. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the four winners of the prestigious Dealer of the Year awards in the Small, Medium, Large and Mega categories.
The GWM Dealer Conference also highlighted the brand’s remarkable growth in South Africa. From its humble beginnings as a niche pick-up supplier to its current standing as a top 10 vehicle brand, GWM has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation.
The recent launch of the HAVAL H7 is testament to this growth and with the addition of the P300, Tank 300 Diesel and H6 GT PHEV, GWM’s portfolio is now more diverse and compelling than ever before.

Nissan South Africa has agreed to sell its Rosslyn production facility after 60 years of operation. The plant, which produced models such as the 1400 ‘Champ’ bakkie, NP200 and Navara, was acquired by Chery SA. Volvo has commenced on-road testing of heavy trucks powered by hydrogen combustion engines. This pioneering solution places Volvo at the forefront of the industry, with commercial launch planned before 2030.

Lifting above the currents, Orbit Commercial Vehicles Cape Town was once again named the overall 2025 Dealer of the Year and Elite Class winner for Southern Africa at Daimler Truck Southern Africa’s (DTSA) Dealer of the Year Awards.
