The winner was Tharwah Allie who travelled with her husband, Shameeg, from the Western Cape to receive her prize from Human Auto Chery Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
The handover took place at Chery’s new branch in Kimberley under the auspices of Absa’s Bruwer Nel (Head: Dealer Relationships AVAF Personal Markets – Central Region), Jean Retief (Sales Manager at the dealership) and PG Welthagen (Dealer Principal).
To win the new Chery Tiggo, entrants had to take a photo of themselves at any Chery dealership in South Africa with the new Tiggo 4 Pro and then post it on Twitter with the hashtag #AbsaWinAChery.

According to PG, they are glad their dealership was selected as the venue where the handover took place and that the Tiggo was acquired through them. “We have a close relationship with Absa of which we are immensely proud. We are also happy and excited for Tharwah in her new car,” he tells Dealerfloor.
He says the new Chery range is exceedingly popular and that the latest model to be added, the Tiggo 7 Pro, is doing exceptionally well. The Tiggo 7 Pro fits in between the smaller Tiggo 4 Pro and the bigger Tiggo 8 Pro models.
Bruwer says it was especially important for Absa to get to know customers more closely and to also become involved with customers and business partners. “It is special for us to present the prize. I was so happy to be the one to call Tharwah with the good news. It was such a special experience for me as well. We hope she has many safe miles travelling by car.”
