A key piece of this puzzle was the appointment of Daphne Greyling (photo) as General Manager of Dealer Sales and Network Development.

Daphne is a results-driven individual with over 29 years of experience in the automotive industry, across both OEM and dealer environments. She has been responsible for the roll out of Tata’s extensive dealer network, which already comprises more than 40 locations across South Africa.

Daphne’s leadership approach combines analytical rigour with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring solutions that not only improve profitability, but which also elevate brand reputation and industry standing.

A key part of this customer-centric approach is TataMove, a promise that is designed to give South African motorists absolute peace of mind throughout their ownership journey, allowing them to drive with confidence.

TataMove ties together warranties, nationwide service coverage, roadside assistance, mobility solutions and OEM-certified repairs into a simple promise that Tata will always keep their customers moving.

She is excited about her role as it offers her an opportunity to directly influence growth, performance and long-term sustainability across the network.

“I look forward to growing the Tata business going forward by strengthening dealer network performance through disciplined KPI governance, optimised inventory management and strategic pricing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable financial growth,” explains Daphne.

She aims to support end-to-end supply chain excellence by improving order-to-delivery processes, refining stock management practices and enhancing forecasting accuracy to ensure greater responsiveness and profitability.

“This position allows me to shape strategy, empower teams and translate market insight into measurable commercial success. I am passionately excited about the Tata brand, which stands for innovation, quality and customer trust,” she says.

Daphne is honoured to be representing a brand with a clear identity and global heritage that creates the opportunity to deliver meaningful value to customers while reinforcing reputation and market leadership.

“Being part of a brand that continuously evolves through product innovation, technology and customer experience makes the role both dynamic and future focussed,” she adds.

The key areas that Daphne looks forward to influencing include the evolving customer expectations and dealer network optimisation. “Each of these growth areas is an opportunity to strengthen network resilience, enhance customer satisfaction and position the brand for long-term growth in South Africa’s automotive landscape,” she explains.

“My main goals for the next two years are to grow vehicle sales and network profitability while contributing to strengthening the brands market reputation,” she concludes.
