Coming back home to his roots, so to speak, with a passionate challenge lying ahead for him. So says Bradley Scorer, the newly appointed Franchise Executive for the Supergroup Dealerships Stellantis brands as well as Chery.

Bradley rejoined Supergroup Dealerships two years after selling Arnold Chatz Cars Constantia Kloof (ACC) to the motoring group. He is, however, very familiar with Supergroup Dealerships when he had a stint as Dealer Principal at the group’s Nash Nissan dealership for two years.
But to understand the passion for his new venture, one has to look back at Bradley’s history in the local automotive scene.
“I started my management career at the original Arnold Chatz Cars in Hyde Park. My dad, Derik, and our family have been in the motor industry for more than 40 years, having been a business partner and a close family friend of Arnold Chatz. We were Fiat and Alfa Sales Dealer and overall Dealer of the Year for five years running,” Bradley tells Dealerfloor.
Arnold Chatz and the Scorer-family were synonymous with Alfa and Fiat from back in the days and who can forget their motor-racing success in Alfas, making the brand one of the most aspirational vehicles to own?
After two years with Nash Nissan, Arnold Chatz Cars took over Constantia Kloof in Roodepoort with Jeep, Alfa, Fiat, Chrysler and Abarth, and the dealership was renamed Arnold Chatz Cars Constantia Kloof.
Arnold Chatz Cars, part of the Supergroup Dealerships, has seen the return of Bradley Scorer.
“I ran ACC Constantia Kloof for seven years, winning multiple Dealer of the Year awards, and the majority of the Aftersales Dealer of the Year awards. We then sold to Supergroup during April in 2022, and I have now come back home as of the 1st of April 2024, exactly two years after departing,” Bradley tells us.
He says one of the challenges in his new position is to expand the Stellantis brand within the Group. Bradley says the Stellantis brands they represent, are all passion brands that stir emotions and are much more than an average way getting from point A to B.
“I believe that we must have a fresh look at how we sell these vehicles, getting that absolute passion for the different brands back into dealerships. Looking at the different brands in the Stellantis portfolio, it is not only about the passion, but also about the value proposition these cars represent.
“We currently have three Stellantis dealerships and one Chery Dealership in the Supergroup Dealerships. The same applies to Chery, a popular brand, offering great value, and we will also be looking at opportunities to increase dealerships of the well-known Chinese brand,” he tells Dealerfloor.
Getting back to the racing history, he says Arnold Chatz held multiple national motor racing championships and one of the most successful works drivers for Alfa Romeo back in the heyday of production car racing. “During the time we owned Arnold Chatz Cars Constantia Kloof, I repeated that success, taking the 2018 National Endurance series title in an Alfa Romeo.
“Once Arnold retired from the motor industry, my father took over the Alfa Romeo and Fiat proverbial baton in Hyde Park, championing the brands for many years, and when we bought Constantia Kloof, I followed that path to try and give the Alfisti and Fiat heads the best possible outlet to support them in the love for the brands, while building the love for Jeep and the other brands. I can proudly say that at the time, we were the champions of the Alfa Romeo and Fiat brands.”
Bradley concludes by saying he looks forward heading up all the Stellantis brands to widen the net and push the brands to the forefront along with the addition of the Opel, Peugeot and Citroën name plates and with the support of a well-known and respected listed motor group.
Graeme Watson, CEO Supergroup Dealerships, says they are excited to have Bradley back in the Stellantis stable at Supergroup Dealerships. “We are delighted to have Bradley back at Supergroup and strongly recognise the positive impact his knowledge and experience will have on the business, its people and the customer experience at our Stellantis and Chery dealership.” Graeme says they wish Bradley great success with his new challenge and look forward to him leading the drive on growing the market presence of all the Stellantis brands, including Opel, Peugeot and Citroën, together with the Chery Brand, creating a passion- and excellence-driven brand experience for our customers.”
