Designed for the fast-paced life in Mzansi, the driving experience takes only 90 minutes and includes a chat on the vehicle features, something to snack on and a self-drive on the JLR Experience track in a 14-hectare property in Lonehill, Johannesburg.
The Taster Drives is open to anyone, including people who simply want to drive a Jaguar or Land Rover for the experience. It is also available to JLR dealers who can gift prospects with a Taster Drive voucher to give them a longer drive than the usual test drive around the dealership and back.
The new Taster Drives are offered alongside the Experience centre’s comprehensive selection of half-day, full-day or bespoke luxury travel driving experiences that are available in a wide range of current Jaguars and Land Rovers, including the supercharged F-PACE SVR, all-electric I-PACE, the new Defender and the brand-new Range Rover, among others.
Taster Drives start at R1 520 per person, or R2 200 for V8 models and the all-electric Jaguar I-PACE. Driving guests are required to present valid South African driving licence cards and must be at least 23 years of age to drive V8 or electric models.
All driving courses are hosted by Jaguar Land Rover’s accredited instructors.
JLR says its Experience Centre is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere for the group and it is also the largest of its kind in the group’s global operations.
